Troop Camp

Zombology Troop Camp (Camp Evelyn)

  • Open to all grades
  • $160 per person
  • When: July 23-25

Your troop is under a Zombie attack! Survive by learning quickly. It is up to us to save our sister Girl Scouts. Led by our counselor, your troop will swim, do archery, and learn the bush craft that will save us all. All you need is your gear and enthusiasm for trying new adventures. Troops will camp in platform tents or cabins and eat in the dining hall. Adults attending will learn to tent camp and cook over the fire, meeting the requirements for Outdoor Adventures certification.

Outdoor Discovery Troop Camp (Camp Manitou)

  • Check in 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.; check out 6:15-6:45 p.m.
  • Open to all grades
  • $60.00 per person
  • When: August 20-22

Are you ready for a rustic camp experience with your troop mates? Grab your tents and let’s go! You and your friends will learn outdoor survival skills like knot tying, shelter building, and orienteering. Enjoy meals over the campfire and sing camp songs as you hike in the woods. To top off your Camp Manitou adventure, you can paddle your way around Serenity Lake on a paddleboard or kayak and climb a ROCK WALL! Be ready for some “wild” surprises too!

The camping fee includes all activities, camping space, bathroom/shower access, drinking water, wood, matches, paper, cooking equipment, picnic table, and a fire ring. Troops must bring their own food (including snacks and beverages), tents, sleeping gear, and any special supplies. An adult who has completed Outdoor Adventures Training must accompany each troop. Adults will be responsible for the supervision of their troop and should consult Safety Activity Checkpoints in the Volunteer Toolkit when making plans. Everyone attending must be a registered Girl Scout member, including adults.
