This training is required for at least one advisor of a troop before bringing girls on an overnight in tents or before cooking over a fire. Troop advisors can also recruit another adult/parent to become the troop’s Outdoor Adventures Certified Adult. Participants will learn how to implement the Girl Scout Leadership Experience in preparing for these types of outdoor adventures.
How cool is that? Take your girls to Troop Camp and by participating in activities during the two-night stay, advisors can fulfill the Outdoor Adventures Training requirements. But don't worry, it won't feel like training at all.
There will be tons of fun to go around at Camp Evelyn's Troop Camp. All you need to bring is your troop, your gear, and your enthusiasm for trying something new. You and your troop will experience the great outdoors with all of the amenities of camp counselors leading activities, food service providing meals and so much more. Wouldn't this be a great way to start camping with your troop? Troop Camp Opportunities
In this session you will learn about progression in outdoor activities as well as outdoor skills, such as building fires and outdoor cooking.
