Become a Community Partner

Girl Scouts is the world’s preeminent leadership development organization for girls, building girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.  A Community Partner is an organization or business that would like to partner with Girl Scouts of Manitou Council to provide opportunities to local Girl Scouts.  This Community Partner guide and Application is part of the process to ensure that girls are receiving quality experiences, centered on the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.  By promoting information on our council web site, girls, their parents and adult volunteers will know where to look for exciting opportunities offered by Community Partners. We will review your event/activity with you to make sure it is aligned with the appropriate Girl Scout grade level resources.

  1. To become a Community Partner an organization or business must submit an application annually.  After we receive and review your application you will be contacted by a member of our staff to discuss promotion of your event(s) or program activity you plan to offer to Girl Scouts.
  2. If your application is approved you will be invoiced for promotion of your events based on the fee scale listed below.

As a community partner with Girl Scouts of Manitou we agree to:

  • Have all marketing materials approved by Girl Scouts of Manitou prior to printing final
    publication.
  • Provide outlines/curriculum for activities to be completed at event.
  • Provide Girl Scouts of Manitou Council with reports of participation rate for each program
activity/event held by community partner by December 1 of each year.

Community Partner Promotion Options

Option 1: Online Listing

Your event or program activity will be listed on the Manitou Council web site. Your logo will be placed on the Community Partner page of our website  and will include a link to your website. Girls, their parents and our adult volunteers use our web site as a one-stop resource to find out about opportunities for Girl Scouts.  Our Community Partner list is simple, yet functional:  organization contact information and a brief description are placed where thousands of girls, their parents and adult volunteers will view them.

Fee for twelve month posting:
Non-profit organization $25, For-Profit organization or business $75.

Option 2:  Community Partner Flyer Distribution

Community partners may print a limited amount of flyers (one per girl or one per troop) for distribution through the Girl Scout Center and at scheduled meetings for troop leaders.  This option means that troop leaders receive your flyer at a place and time when they are learning about additional opportunities.  We do not mail flyers to girls their parents or volunteers.  Meetings are held in August, October, and January.  Our membership year is October 1 through September 31 of the following year.

One time distribution for:  Non-profit $75  For-profit organization or business $100.  Three- time distribution: Non-profit $175. For-profit organization or business $250 for pre-paid fees.

Option 3:  E-Newsletter Distribution

E-mail promotion of your event/activity or services via our e-news to girls, their parents and our adult volunteers.

Fee:  Non-profit $25  For-profit organization or business $50 per e-news mailing.

How to submit content for advertising:

All submissions must be submitted as a Word document and include, start and end date and time, potential audience, troops, individuals with an adult or family. List the event/activity fee for girls, adults and/or groups and number of participants.
