Camp Registration Will Open February 10
Come to Summer Camp
There is simply nothing like it! Take a deep breath. Catch the scent of pinecones mixed with roasting marshmallows, and you are ready for your summer camp adventure. There are leaves to rustle through, water to plunge into, and trails to explore. There are campfire stories to make you laugh and shiver, like the night air causing you to snuggle deeper into the warmth of your sleeping bag . . . drifting off to dream of the fun you'll have tomorrow.
At summer camp you can come for the day or for 3, 5, or even 12 nights. You can bring a buddy or come on your own, but in no time you will know all the girls in your camping unit just like your friends back home. That is just the “nature” of summer camp-friends made summer after summer often become your friends for life. You might even come to camp with your whole troop or with your favorite woman!
Camp Evelyn is near Plymouth, Wisconsin. We have a beautiful lake, a flowing river and a sparkling swimming pool.
Camp Manitou in Shoto, Wisconsin, is on the banks of Serenity Lake in Manitowoc County and is graced with deep forests, rolling trails, and even a frisbee golf course.
Try your hand at kayaking, art, music, paddle boarding, swimming, campfires, discovering the constellations, experiments, and archery.
Summer Camp is open to all girls entering the 1st-12th grade. Not a Girl Scout? Simply add $25.00 to the camp fee to become a member, and join in the fun!
Bring your friends and show them how to have a blast this summer!
Fun at Camp Comes in (at least) three varieties
Girl Scouts love the magic that comes only from a large group all together, so a few times per week, the whole camp gets together for talent shows, campfires, kickball games, karaoke dance parties, capture the flag, carnivals, scavenger hunts, pool parties, surprise presenters, skits and songs. If all the girls can imagine it, all the girls can make it happen . . . all over camp.
The girls who live together in your camp community, called a "unit," become your closest friends. They are close to your age, and you experience so much together. You choose the activities to dive into as a group. Maybe you'll stay up late and hear stories of the constellations, or form a noodle-train in the pool, cookout your supper, conquer an obstacle course, jump into Crystal Lake, or inspire each other with your art and science projects.
Because each of us is special, with special talents and interests, at least three times per day you'll get to chose an activity that is open to girls from the entire camp, not just your unit. You'll make new friends and try activities that might not be selected by your unit mates. River stomping, archery, unique arts, canoeing, kayaking, cooking, games, and sports are among the many choices.
