Girl Scout Tree Promise

Cadette Troop 8126 made the Girl Scout Tree Promise and planted over 50 trees to help support the environment. At one of their meetings, the girls participated in the virtual event in partnership with the Wisconsin DNR, Forest Heroes. Then they spent time outdoors planting 50 bare-root coniferous trees to continue creating animal habitats and help ease the effects of climate change. You rock Girl Scouts!

Girl Scouts Give Back

Troop 8060 focused on making a difference in their community! First, these Girl Scouts spent a day at a local park cleaning up trash. They collected multiple bags full and learned the importance of leaving no trace when in nature. Then they headed to a local organization, Project Angel Hugs, to distribute donated cookies from their troop's cookie sale. You go Girl Scouts!

Get Outdoors this October!

 Join the Ice Age Trail Alliance's Mammoth Hike Challenge this October 2022. Hike 42 miles anywhere along the Ice Age National Scenic Trail and visit Ice Age Trail Communities to earn a commemorative patch and completion certificate. You may hike, walk, run, or backpack - whatever suits your lifestyle - and log your miles over days, weekends, weeks, or one big adventure. You have the entire month of October to do it! All abilities. All ages. All welcome.

Girl Scout Green Thumb

Troop 8048 visited a local greenhouse & floral shop to take a class in creating succulent gardens. These Girl Scouts learned about these pretty plants, the different varieties, the types of soil & climate they grow best in, and how to care for them once planted. Then they got their hands dirty and did the actual planting. Such a fun time while also learning a lot!

Ghostly Ghoul Scout Walk

Come out to Camp Evelyn for a special Ghostly Ghoul Scout Trail Walk on Saturday, October 22nd from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Girl Scouts have created special spooktacular exhibits all throughout camp. Bring the whole family along! Enjoy some warm refreshments and shop the camp store while you're here.
