Our camp counselors and staff are committed to creating a supportive and nurturing environment for the girls who attend Camp Evelyn or Camp Manitou.
Although many are studying or working in fields such as education, psychology, sociology, recreation, social work, and more, they are chosen primarily for their keen interest and ability to work with children in a camp setting.
To prepare for the summer, staff go through background checks, an interview process, and take part in an intensive 12-day pre-camp training period that covers various topics that include, but are not limited to, emergency procedures, CPR/First Aid/AED/Lifeguarding, waterfront safety, homesickness, and more.

Meet Daisy!
Director of Program Quality
Hi everyone! I'm Daisy and I'm the Director of Program Quality at Girl Scouts of Manitou Council - including Camp Evelyn and Camp Manitou. This marks my 12th year at camp and I honestly can't imagine spending my summers anywhere else! Camp is a huge part of my life and I'm passionate about making sure every camper has an amazing experience. Outside of camp, you'll usually find me hiking in the woods, curled up with a good book, or enjoying some quality time with my two dogs. Before diving into the camp world, I spent three years teaching in northern rural Wisconsin, which I loved. I also have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education and a Master's in Special Education with a focus on emotional behavioral disorders. I'm really looking forward to another fantastic summer with all of you!

Hi! My name is Bambi! This will be my first year at camp, and I'm super excited to be part of the team. I'm currently in school and really enjoy learning new things and meeting new people. In my free time, I love listening to music, spending time with friends, traveling, and trying new activities. I can't wait to meet everyone and make amazing memories this summer!

My name is Kitty! This will be my second year as a camp counselor, but I have been going to this camp for 10 years. I will be in Dacha this year. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, listening to music, and spending time with my friends. I can't wait for this summer to start and to meet everyone.

Hi, my name is Loki. This will be my first year at camp and I will be on the kitchen staff. I'm currently in high school. In my free time, I love singing, acting, working, and playing instruments! Can't wait to meet y'all!

This will be my seventh year at camp! I'm graduating from UW-Stevens Point in the spring with a degree in dietetics and a health and wellness coaching certificate. Additionally, I'll be finishing the second half of my master's degree next year. In my free time, I love running, hiking, biking, fishing, reading, and spending time with friends.
Day Camp Counselor
Hi! My name is Oreo. This is my third year working at camp and I've been going to Camp Evelyn for 12 years. This summer, I'll be a day camp counselor, with the occassional overnight. In the fll, I'll be starting school to study pre-medicine. In my free time, I love spending time with family and friends, doing crafts, and enjoying the outdoors. I'm so excited for a fantastic camp year and to meet everyone!
Media Specialist
Hi! My name is Storm. This is my second year at camp. While I was the LaForet head counselor last year, I will be working as a Media Specialist this summer. Outside of camp, I love coaching softball, reading, photography, and watching movies. I'm excited to return to camp this summer and be a part of the wonderful staff.
CIT Director
My name is Turtle! This is my second year at Camp Evelyn. I've been going to Girl Scout camps since I was nine yeaRs old in various places around the Midwest. I have a Bachelor's Degree in theatre, and when I'm not at camp, I work at a performing arts school in Missouri. I love all outdoor activities and also write poetry in my free time. I'm excited to see what adventures another year at camp holds!

Hi, I'm Gummy Bear. This is my fourth year at camp as a counselor! I love to draw, sing, act, learn card games, and go on hikes. I am so excited to meet everyone!

Hi! My name is Luna, and this will be my first year at camp and as a camp counselor. I am from Madison, but I am currently attending UW-Milwaukee to get my bachelor's degree in freshwater science. I was in Girl Scouts myself and attended various camps as a kid, and I am super excited to get back outdoors for another summer! I love hiking, paddleboarding, canoeing, and rock climbing, along with reading and anything creative. Can't wait to have an amazing summer and meet everyone!

My name is Nox! It is my second year working at camp, but my 10th year at Camp Evelyn total! I am a Junior in High School, and am planning on going to college for my teaching and art degree once I graudate. I love music, art, reading, writing, playing tennis, and spending time with my friends. I am so excited to meet everyone!

My name is Popcorn. This is my second year as a staff member. I started coming to Camp Evelyn as a camper in third grade. I am a Dacha counselor. Outside of camp, I work in retail, and I am an Ambassador Girl Scout. I also love hanging out with my friends.

My name is Trixx. This is my first year working here, but my 10th year attending camp. I'm going into my Junior year of High School and plan to go into a profession involving animals. In my free time, I like to draw, create, and play with my two guinea pigs. I can't wait to start this summer!
