Our camp counselors and staff are committed to creating a supportive and nurturing environment for the girls who attend Camp Evelyn or Camp Manitou.
Although many are studying or working in fields such as education, psychology, sociology, recreation, social work, and more, they are chosen primarily for their keen interest and ability to work with children in a camp setting.
To prepare for the summer, staff go through background checks, an interview process, and take part in an intensive 12-day pre-camp training period that covers various topics that include, but are not limited to, emergency procedures, CPR/First Aid/AED/Lifeguarding, waterfront safety, homesickness, and more.

Meet Daisy!
Director of Program Quality
Hi everyone! I'm Daisy and I'm the Director of Program Quality at Girl Scouts of Manitou Council - including Camp Evelyn and Camp Manitou. This marks my 11th year at camp and I honestly can't imagine spending my summers anywhere else! Camp is a huge part of my life and I'm passionate about making sure every camper has an amazing experience. Outside of camp, you'll usually find me hiking in the woods, curled up with a good book, or enjoying some quality time with my two dogs. Before diving into the camp world, I spent three years teaching in northern rural Wisconsin, which I loved. I also have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education and a Master's in Special Education with a focus on emotional behavioral disorders. I'm really looking forward to another fantastic summer with all of you!

Hi! My name is Aspen. I’m from Milwaukee, WI and this is my third year at camp. I love music and know a ton of fun camp songs to play on the ukulele. I also love sports and the outdoors. I can't wait for an amazing summer!

Hello, I am Aurora! I am from St Petersburg FL, but have lived in Sheboygan, WI since I was 10 years old. I love spending time with my 7 children and 3 grandchildren. We love being outdoors, swimming, and going on new adventures. All my boys were in Boy Scouts and 3 of my 4 girls were in Girl Scouts, and they went to camp. I also used to volunteer at camp. Meeting new people, experiencing a new type of work, making new friends, and watching children smile are some of my favorite parts! Can't wait to meet you!

My name is Everest and I am 25 years old and finding my place in the world! I love traveling, experiencing visuals and sounds of the outdoors, creating unique and bright memories, and growing in the crazy world! I have two cats, I love the color pink, and I love graphic design. I can't wait to see you at camp!
Meet J.A.R.V.I.S!
Waterfront Coordinator
I'm excited to be coming back for my third summer. This summer I
will be the Waterfront Coordinator. I have years of experience working
at a local aquatic center and also served as a lifeguard at camp the
previous summers. Some of my favorite activities include drawing,
listening to music, and taking long naps with my dog, Odin. I'm
excited to spend time outside in the sun making happy memories.

Assistant Director
I am excited to be returning to Camp Evelyn for another summer. I started working at camps in 2014 in my home state of Iowa and have since spent time at different camps across a few different states. Outside of camp, I am a certified TEFL teacher with a degree in Human and Family Development from Arizona State. I also have a background in preschool and daycare work. I have a passion for arts education and Montessori curriculums. I love singing camp songs, arts and crafts such as crocheting, sewing, painting, traveling, and exploring foreign grocery stores. As a Girl Scout Senior, I was the top cookie seller in the upper midwest. I prefer Caramel Delights/Samoas and Lemonades, especially straight from the freezer.

Hello! My name is Lemon! I live in Plymouth, WI, and will be attending UW-La Crosse to pursue a major in marketing. In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach, reading, running, and golfing. I attended Camp Evelyn throughout my childhood, and this will be my second year as a staff member. I am excited about what this summer has in store!

Hi, my name is Noodle! I'm from Plymouth, Wisconsin. I am currently a junior at UW-Stevens Point studying dietetics and nutrition and aim to earn my master's degree. I work at a café during the school year as a food production assistant because I love to cook and bake. I enjoy spending time outdoors and being active. I value fitness as I have run a half marathon and completed the rim-to-rim Grand Canyon run and now plan to complete my first ultra-marathon this summer! I also enjoy photography and reading. This will be my fifth year at camp and I am very excited to return!

Hi, my name is Oreo and I am from Wisconsin. I love to do anything outdoors. I love to paddle board and hang out with family and friends. I enjoy working with kids making sure they have a fun experience. This will be my second year working at Camp Evelyn. I have completed all of the Counselor-in-Training programs and I have been going to Camp Evelyn for as long as I can remember. I'm looking forward to having a great summer.

Activity Coordinator
Hello! I am Orko and this will be my second year at Camp Evelyn! I am from Indiana. I will be graduating with a bachelor's degree in Hospitality in the spring of 2025. I have an extensive background in dance, poetry, choir, and jewelry making. I love swimming at camp and doing fun fashion shows with the kids! When I am not at camp I am helping in my local community and pursuing my major. I am so excited this summer for all the fun themes and experiences!

Day Camp Counselor
Hi there! My name is Wasabi. I’ve been going to camp for 11 years. This is my third summer on staff. I love to play sports, paint, and do things with my cats. My favorite thing about camp is the independence. Throughout my entire camper experience, the best thing was not knowing who you were going to meet at camp. This can sometimes be scary, but the new friends you meet on your own is one of the amazing joys at camp.
