Special Event Opportunity in October 2022:
Save the date - Mammoth Hike Challenge in October! Is your Girl Scout Troop ready for a challenge? Join the Ice Age Trail Alliance's Mammoth Hike Challenge this October 2022. Hike 42 miles anywhere along the Ice Age National Scenic Trail and visit Ice Age Trail Communities to earn a commemorative patch and completion certificate. You may hike, walk, run, or backpack - whatever suits your lifestyle - and log your miles over days, weekends, weeks, or one big adventure. You have the entire month of October to do it! All abililities. All ages. All welcome.
Register for this free challenge as a troop to compile your miles, explore the Ice Age Trail and support our Trail Communities throughout Wisconsin. All participants will receive a special Mammoth Hike Challenge itinerary feature Ice Age Trail Communities and local businesses to support along the way. You'll have access to the StriveOn interactive mobile app to help create a one-of-a-kind hiking experience.
There will be a virtual information session on Monday, September 19 at 6:30 p.m. just for Girl Scout troops and troop leaders to learn about the Ice Age Trail and hiker resources available. Register for the virtual information session here.

- Shalom Wildlife Zoo Girl Scout Badge Experience: Shalom Wildlife is a 100 acre zoo with almost four miles of trails, with educational signs and learning centers along thhe way. On your hike, you will see over 75 species and more than 750 animals. Known as America's largest petting zoo, you will have the opportunity for many animal interactions. This is the perfect place for Girl Scouts of all program levels to earn a variety of outdoor and animal badges. Pick which badge you will be earning, plan your 3-4 hour adventure and pre-register. - Technology Activities and Badges at Manitowoc Public Library: Girl Scout Daisy - Junior troops can earn their Robotics badges at the Manitowoc Public Library. To learn more, check out the brochure.
- Wisconsin Museum of Quilts & Fiber Arts: WMQFA offers different programs on sewing and fiber arts that relate to Girl Scout badges or skills. Each program gets a tour of the current exhibitions and a museum patch. Located in Cedarburg. To see what programs are available, check out the brochure.
