Take part in a historic skill or trade with your group.
The Manitowoc County Historical Society Museum and Pinecrest Village is proud to offer programming for scouts to earn badges, petals, loops, and patches. The programing for scouts typically fulfills a badge requirement, but additional activities outside of the program may be required. Museum admission is included in the price of the program.
Each hands-on workshop will take place during a morning and afternoon session. Scouts and their families are welcome to explore the museum following their program. Space is available for lunch at the Two Creeks Town Hall.
Space is limited. Scouts should check with the individual counselors to confirm needed activities prior to registering.
Class options are listed below. Registration is suggested at least 2 weeks prior to Scout Day.
Textile Artist
Senior Girl Scout Badge: When you see all the colors and textures of fabrics and yarns, do you dream up a million things to do with them? Get ready to turn those visions into reality as you meet with artists, learn about the world of textile arts, and make a project in the craft that most inspires you to pick up your needles (or loom). Maximum of 6 students per session.
Workshops will repeat for a morning and afternoon session-
Morning Session: 9 am to Noon
Afternoon Session: 1 to 4 pm
Social Butterfly
Junior Girl Scout/ Cub Scout: Many early residents enjoyed entertaining guests. Attend a gathering where you will practice using good manners to show you respect others. When you know the proper way to behave in a situation you will also feel more confident and at ease.
Maximum of 20 students per session.
Workshops will repeat for a morning and afternoon session-
Morning Session: 9 am to Noon
Afternoon Session: 1 to 4 pm
Advanced Registration Required
Scout Attendee: $20
Each scout may bring one adult for
complimentary admission.
When registering, please choose the class you would like to take
part in, as well as the morning or afternoon session timeframe, if
available.
Pre-registration is required so we can ensure there
are enough supplies for every participant.
Please note the
museum does not provide badges.
