Troop 8465 from Sheboygan recently embarked on a trip to New York City. These Girl Scouts have been working hard for two years to raise money for their trip to the Big Apple.
They walked around the city and got to explore the transit systems of NYC, both bus and subway.
These Girl Scouts certainly had a jam-packed trip as they visited the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the 9/11 memorial. They learned a lot of history through Hamilton and Underground Railroad tours. They were able to see all of the New York sights as they visited the Empire State Building, took a bike ride through Central Park, did a movie and TV tour through the city, and saw 3 shows!
Not only did these girls learn a lot, but they also had a lot of fun! They took advantage of the many shopping opportunities, as they spent a day visiting all the amazing stores and, in true NYC fashion, ate hot dogs from a cart!
