Outdoor Adventures is required for at least one registered adult volunteer of a troop before bringing girls on an overnight in tents or before cooking over a fire. Outdoor Adventures Training is for volunteers of all troop levels. Troop leaders can also recruit another adult/parent to become the troop's Outdoor Adventures Certified Adult. Participants will learn how to implement the Girl Scout Leadership Experience in preparing for these types of outdoor adventures.
During this session, you will learn about building fires, outdoor cooking, staying safe, and all things "Girl Scout Program in the Outdoors." By the end of the session you will have an excellent start on planning and preparing your very first outdoor adventure with your troop.
Please dress comfortably and for the weather as much of the time will be spent outdoors, rain or shine. Lunch is provided and please contact the Director of Camp and Program if you have any dietary/activity restrictions or have any questions.
