We want all new troop leaders to feel confident, prepared, and ready
to lead their troop.
Girl Scouts of Manitou requires each troop to have at least one
leader who has completed the full training. Click on MY GS in the top
right of this page to access all these training courses on gsLearn.
Step One: In-person orientation with troop organizer or staff
member (Approximately one hour)
- New leaders will learn about the basics of Girl Scouting, how
to access information they need, how to get assistance, how to
access the vital tools in MY GS: the Volunteer Toolkit, gsLearn, and
accessing the following onboarding trainings there.
Step Two: Complete online trainings on gsLearn (self-paced
- approximately two hours )

Following completion of most onboarding sections, you will receive
an email with local council details pertaining to that topic.
The entire training must be completed by new leaders within three
months of appointment.
