We want all new troop leaders to feel confident, prepared, and ready to lead their troop.
Girl Scouts of Manitou requires each troop to have at least one leader who has completed the full training. Click on MY GS in the top right of this page to access all these training courses on gsLearn.
Step One: In-person orientation with troop organizer or staff member (Approximately one hour)
- New leaders will learn about the basics of Girl Scouting, how to access information they need, how to get assistance, how to access the vital tools in MY GS: the Volunteer Toolkit, gsLearn, and accessing the following onboarding trainings there.
Step Two: Complete online trainings on gsLearn (self-paced - approximately one hour and 15 minutes)
- GSUSA New Leader Onboarding - Your First Troop Meeting
- GSUSA New Leader Onboarding - What Girl Scouts Do? (age level specific)
