MEdia Journey Fashion Show
As the culmination of their MEdia journey, these Cadettes hosted a fashion show. Each girl in the troop put on an outfit she felt comfortable and confident wearing. After painting a piece on what beauty means to them, the troop presented their art in a fashion show. Presenting in front of family and friends, the Cadettes shared what they learned during their journey.
Within the MEdia journey, Girl Scouts explore media and find out how to reshape negative media messages into more positive ones.
During this journey, the troop explored media all around them, looking critically at what they found. In doing this, they placed a large emphasis on self esteem; which is linked to confidence and other positive benefits.
