We asked this year's Daisy troops what they would want to share with future Daisy Girl Scouts. Here's what they had to say!
Daisies build social skills. Many Daisies said they loved selling cookies. A few Daisies said that their favorite thing is earning badges. Of course, most girls mentioned making new friends and playing fun games. One girl said her favorite part of being a Daisy is, "learning new games with friends."
Daisies learn new things. The girls had a lot to tell when it came to what new Daisies would learn, like first aid, "leave no trace," and how to be respectful. One Daisy wrote, "Scouting is joyful." Another wrote, "You will have a lot of fun."
Our Daisies were embracing the Girl Scout Promise and Law when they mentioned learning about, "how to be fair, honest, and helpful," as well as "how to be a good sister." One Daisy wrote, "I learned about Petals." Another said, "My favorite part of being a Daisy is being kind." One girl wrote, "We help make the world a better place."
Being a Girl Scout helps girls explore their creative side. A girl from Troop 8176 said, "I love making arts and crafts." Many girls mentioned crafts in their letters.
Daisies explore the outdoors. The girls spent a lot of time exploring nature, as some wrote about playing outside. One Daisy wrote, "You can do fun things like help Mother Nature." Many girls noted that their favorite part of being a Daisy is camp. Most of Troop 8339 mentioned a sledding field trip, sounds like fun!
This Daisy told future Daisies about selling cookies, her friends in Girl Scouts, learning about the Heimlich Maneuver, crafts, and badges!
