Zoe hits the trails on her Girl Scout Destination!
Senior Girl Scout Zoe from Troop 8014 took her love for Girl Scouts to a whole new level on her Girl Scout Destination trip to “Happy Trails” in Georgia! From practicing English and Western riding skills to packed-lunch trail rides and even an overnight ride, Zoe’s trip was filled with unforgettable experiences. When the girls weren’t on horseback, they explored local landmarks, hiking trails, and other nearby attractions.
For Zoe, choosing this Destination was an easy decision. With a love for both horses and traveling, “Happy Trails” was the perfect fit. After making the trip to Georgia, Zoe says she would 100% apply again! Not only did she get to spend her days doing something she loves, but she also got to meet and connect with other Girl Scouts who share her passion for horses.
Even with long days spent in the saddle, there was still plenty of time for fun! One of Zoe’s favorite parts of the trip was participating in the Rodeo Games, where she got to enjoy some of her favorite styles of riding.
After such an unforgettable experience, Zoe encourages other Girl Scouts who may be considering a Destination to just go for it! Whether you’re only starting to think about traveling or you’re ready to apply but doubting yourself, she says to take the chance. You never know when an opportunity like this will come around again, and it could end up being the best decisions you’ve ever made.
For Zoe, “Happy Trails” was more than just a trip, it was a chance to explore somewhere new, make new friends, and experience her love for horseback riding in a whole new way!
