Troop 8189 from Fond Du Lac worked hard to earn their Bronze Award, for their project “Pet Care-First aid and DIY toys/blankets.”
Wanting to make a difference for animals in their community, the troop focused on educating pet owners about basic pet care and first aid. Throughout the project, the girls researched pet first aid and learned hands-on skills that could help keep pets healthy and safe.
To share what they learned, the troop hosted an event at the Fon Du Lac Public Library where community members could create their own pet first aid kits, toys, and blankets. The girls also provided instructions and educational resources to help pet owners better care for their animals.
All extra first aid kits, toys, and blankets were then donated to the Fon Du Lac Humane Society, helping support animals awaiting adoption.
Through this project, Troop 8189 gained valuable knowledge about pet care while making a positive impact on pets, pet owners, and their local community.
